Hi, I don't come here very often but I have a story worth telling today lol.

I was in Markham waiting to pick up my g/f at the entrance of her town home parking area (next to the building). A cop in a phantom car blocks me in and signals me to not move, a few seconds later THREE MORE DAMN COPS show up. At this point I was wondering WTF was going on. I get 3 officers come to my door asking me a bunch of questions such as why I was there, who am I, bla bla bla. They took my papers and interrogated my g/f as she got out into this thing.

So after a few minutes of questions the other 3 cars left and the remaining cop only said I looked suspicious which didn't explain all the attention. I'm not sure if it's because of the fact I have a white crown vic with black steel rims. Even if it's a 97 which doesn't look at all like a cop car and my dual exhaust kind of makes a lot of noise lol

That's some experience. It's a little overkill, but police maybe have a keen eye in the area because of some disturbances or something. Too bad they didn't mention why you looked suspicious. Maybe they thought you were a drug dealer, or a theif scoping the area, or they just felt like being in your face for no reason.? Sucks that your g/f had to go through the police interrogation.

my girl also went through the questioning...

but I have had no problems in Durham Region - just the one time in Toronto.

doesn't bother me too much - i know what i am and arent into - and robbing people isnt one of them. so im not too worried about questioning or being investigated.

just watched the 6 oclock news here only to find out an OPP was shot and killed near london today by some crazy 70yr man lying in a ditch with a rifle sounds like poor guy was ambushed near buy neighbours said it was a gun fight going back and forth lots of shots fired perhaps this is why the cops are getting a little cautious these days

Seeing how the cops seemed to materialize "within seconds" it makes me wonder if they already had a surveillance thing going on. I've always wondered that too, if you randomly show up into an investigation or area they're tracking someone (undercover of course) how likely you are to spook them.

Yeah there was something going on for sure. No harm done, just freaked me out a little since I never really got pulled over before (in 16 years of driving) lol...
